Nice hair ha..?

Bird, originally uploaded by matticgn.

Who wants to challenge me? I spent a lot of time dressing my hair. Don't think it is an easy thing sitting under the hairdresser scissors for hours, also choosing my dresses was very hard. I hope you will like my dress and my hair style.

Why did we remain a backward country?

It is a real pleasure join you the English course in North Glasgow College. I found studying English in this country an interesting thing. When I make a comparison between teaching style in my country and teaching methods here in the UK, I realise the reason why we remained underdeveloped country.
There is no doubt that nation's development is depend on the education system. Although we were bioneer nation in all kind of sciences a few hundred years ago, the education system in my country is a miserable one, unfortunately. Teaching in our schools is depend on teacher's effort . That mean student doesn't participate the teacher in the class, because he need to lesson to the teacher and understand, if he could, and then at the end of the term he has to sit to the exam. In addition, the using of illustrations and supporting activities are nearly absent in the class and I think this would make the class dry and boring.
Furthermore, the political situation was in a complete failure because we had two wars with our neighbour (Iran and Kwait). Also Iraq was under siege from 1991(when Saddam's army invaded Kwait!!) to 2003 (when Bush's army invaded Iraq!!).Between those year, the education was in miserable condition; teachers were paid 1.5 dollar each month, it was the lowest salary in the world and the students wasn't better than their teachers. Both students and teachers were suffering but they didn't give up their mission despite the difficulties and hopless situation they were live in.
I hope the situation will be better in the near future after we've set free from Saddam's dictator regime, as the new government shows a good attention to the education and trying to make it better.Hundreds of new schools have been built and teachers regain what they deserve of respect and dignity as well as good salary.
What about you? Do you have a good education system in your country?

The mobile phones and our health

A storm of sperms sorrounding an ovum but only one'guy' is allowed to go in.

A new studyshows that the heavy usage of mobile phone could cause losing men fertility. It is a very expensive price we have to pay for using the technology despite the great benefit. But at the other hand technology gave solutions for lots of problems that human faced in the past and sturggle fight in . Technology can do wonderful things such as storage of sperms or ova, using special techniques, for many years and the ability of fertilizing ova artificially outside the uterus. I think we don't have to worry about using mobile phones because we have the magic of science which can do the wonders. In addition, lots of people in the world don't intrest in mobile phones, especially poor people, and if the study comes true, then only poor people will survive in our planet.

Fertilise ova outside the body is became a routine technique nowadays.

Personal photos

( Baghdad during the seventies)

Baghdad was called 'The land of peace'. It was sleeping on the banks of Tiger's river, drowning in dreams and hopes, inspiring hearts of its lovers and giving love to all Iraqis.
But now, it turned to land of pain and fear!!!!!!

(The marshes in south of Iraq)

Houses made from breed and papyrus and built on water surface. The only transport way is a small boat calls ''Belem''.

Those photos are taken south of Iraq. There were huge areas of water where Tigers andEuphrates meet to form large areas of water calls marshes. Those areas no longer exist because Saddam regime dried it all. More than 250.000 people have been forced to leave their regions and 20,000 hectare of water have been dried. The reason was a security purpose, as they claimed, to put an end to hundreds and hundreds years of natural life in that area. It was very nice places to visit especially in winter as many species of birds immigrate to this area from the cold countries of the world. The people who used to live there were very kind and they were living a very simple and natural life. Many people used to go there for fishing or hunting ducks but this no longer happens now.

(North of Iraq)

At the north of Iraq, the picture is completly different from south Iraq as the mountains rise up high to the sky and the scene is breathtaking. Spending summer holiday their is a real enjoyment espcially for Iraqis because travelling abroad is kind of dreams at the present.
